Gonzalo Funes, Esq. is the founder and principal attorney of the Law Offices of Gonzalo Funes, P.A., a South Florida-based firm focused on personal injury, property damage, and real estate law. With over a decade of legal experience, Mr. Funes is committed to protecting the rights of individuals and property owners through aggressive advocacy and personalized legal strategies.

Before founding his own practice in 2016, Mr. Funes gained valuable experience as an associate attorney at two prominent Florida law firms. He began practicing for a 30-lawyer civil litigation firm focusing on foreclosure defense and real estate matters. He managed a demanding litigation caseload, regularly litigating non-jury trials, mediating disputes, and drafting complex legal briefs. Mr. Funes also worked as an associate attorney at a civil litigation firm and represented major insurance companies in personal injury and property damage defense, honing his skills in trial preparation, motion practice, and depositions.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Funes served as a Certified Legal Intern at the Office of the State Attorney in Florida’s 8th Judicial Circuit. There, he worked alongside prosecutors in both felony and misdemeanor divisions, gaining firsthand experience in trial advocacy, discovery, and courtroom procedures.

Mr. Funes earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Florida’s Fredric G. Levin College of Law, where he was a member of the prestigious Florida Moot Court Team. His academic and courtroom training laid a strong foundation for the litigation-focused practice he runs today.
